CHANGES TO PRESCRIPTION SUPPLY ARRANGEMENTS

As most patients know, we will supply routine repeat prescriptions for regular patients, if appropriate, without the need for an appointment.
We would like our patients to understand that this service involves a cost to the practice, which is why we charge a fee.
Due to the increasing incidence of last minute requests for long term prescriptions by some patients, we are forced to increase our charges for such requests, as these cause undue stress on an already very busy practice.

Current charges for prescription supply apply:
Prescription Supply - 1 week or greater notice: $10.00
Prescription Supply - Less than 1 week or Same Day: $15.00

We would ask all patients to remain organised with their prescriptions, and request renewals at least 2 WEEKS* prior to running out.
* Excludes Opioid Pain Management Prescriptions
WE ALWAYS TRY TO ENSURE YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS WILL LAST BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS,
BUT PLEASE REMEMBER - IT IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ORGANISE YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FOR YOU OUTSIDE OF YOUR APPOINTMENTS.

Personally Controlled Electronic Health Records

PCEHR's are finally available!
After quite a few years of work and a few false starts, our practice is now able to construct and submit
Personally Controlled Electronic Health Records for our patients.

PCEHR's allow a summary of your health record to be uploaded to a central database containing important features like:
  • Medications
  • Allergies
  • Medical Conditions
  • Surgical History
  • Immunisations
  • Treating doctors / specialists contact details

The information contained in this record is controlled by you, and constructed by yourself and your nominated treating doctor (usually your G.P.)
This information can then be accessed by authorised doctors in hospitals or clinic settings when you are away from home or your usual medical practitioner.
